No, just a dog. I threw in the concrete to make it harder.

White. The walls are white, too.

I've been following these 'What am I/Riddle' threads since they appeared and I must say that while I haven't contributed, I find them highly amusing. Probably the best part of the forum. (Is it just me or are fewer people asking for help with puzzles these days?) The opportunity to peer into the thought processes of you highly intelligent people is priceless. I'd almost be willing to pay for that.

One question pops into my head though. How much time (and from where do you steal it--spouse, sleep, kids, work, free time, etc..?) do you put in to browsing this forum in general and thinking about these word games in particular? Just curious.

I thought Luna might be worried even though she knew what the dwarf said to the doctor:) Tarek was the closest.
The answer? The doctor snipped two inches off the top of the dwarf's gum boots.

Way back in the 1950s, the dog-that-eats-concrete riddle was always the second riddle asked, with the first being "What has one eye, one horn, flies, is purple, and eats people?" The answer, of course, was a one-eyed one-horned flying purple people-eater. That worked until somebody made a popular song out of it. So much for the riddle.

Before the pop song ruined the riddle, after hearing the first riddle, the listener would invariably answer the second riddle with "a dog that eats concrete", only to be corrected to "no, just a dog". Too bad none of that works anymore.

I fully agree Tracy and the thinking processes behind the initial clues and responses are quite amazing. It does seem fewer people are asking for help but statistics would be the only way to know for sure.

Now that I'm retired and free of kids, no work pressure, less sleep required, etc. there is more free time to browse the forum - no problems with my spouse of fifty years (years married ie) who now enjoys improved TV program choices and appreciates the quieter viewing:) I'm reluctant to say how many hours I browse because I know it's too many.:)

If I'm in a room where all the walls face south and I see a bear the last thing I will be concerned about is it's colour.
The walls have no windows so obviously the bear is in the room with me:(

The thing is, how do I escape:?:

I could paint myself white, but what if the bear hates the smell of paint:?:
