Hi Pat,

715 is not so far from my assumed "720".
Your explaination is what I expected and gsf should confirm.

I would personnally prefer to see the total "last entry value". The partial value is misleading.

I finished adding a trace mode to the referee scoring script
on the back of the envelope I had forgotten the entry ordinal bonus (167)
the detailed trace confirms your analysis

the highest-rating=n and last-entry=m are just the %-bonus
to aid working backwards to the raw score

I suspected something similar for the highest rating. Your response is a confirmation.

On the other way, it is not too difficult, with the "results" thread, to find the missing numbers

With so many givens it's hard to find x-sudokus of this pattern that don't solve in a few iterations with singles. However, the pattern has no givens on the main diagonals so some do exist that are a bit harder. Here are two:
