We had a good opportunity to answer your question with the first post of MB Metcalf, unhappily, I had meantime submitted the "self trumping" puzzle I had in cache, so, I could not fix the result.

As far as I could see, MB Metcalf was credited by a little more than 930 points that we should split in that way.

170 for the submission order,
ep/ed bonus
and the last entry bonus, again something in the range of 700/750 points.

trying again for the Patterns Game,
random generation gave me only 3-4 minimal puzzles per hour
( on an Intel Pentium Dual CPU 1.8 GHz )

but coloin, once you have even one minimal puzzle, random generation may be unnecessary -- it is possible to tinker with an existing puzzle and obtain other nearby puzzles -- as you surely know -- so you could've used some of the puzzles already posted here as "seeds" from which to generate more -- i would've tried it myself had i had the time---
