How about:

Starred
Starship
One-star

or

Redflag
Flagship
Flagon(e)? or flag(st)one?

Well done MCC, it was beginning to keep me awake at nights. I can go back to the poetry now.

Range wrong. It helps to live in the American west to get the last one.

Could it be drive? My American knowledge is not very good (unless it's sports-related). But then again my English (language) knowledge is not very good either.:)

I left the +'s in since this one is more geared to American solvers.

How to play
Find the word held in common by the three words in each puzzle.
The three solution words will form a fourth puzzle.
The numbers indicate each answer’s length, and the + tells you its position.
Example: The solution to +flower, Wailing+ and Berlin+ is Wall.

Code: Select all
+Rick
+station        6 + ______
park+
                             Final Answer
green+
+leaves         3 + ______  5 ______
+pot

National+
American+       6 + ______
Justice+

2 different tries:

Bush Ranger
Bush Tea
Bush League

Texas Ranger
Texas Tea
Texas League

Both are *very* American. (One is an American State, the other the surname of 2 presidents from that state.):D
