Very nice finds ..... New 11.8 puzzles and BxB 10
That takes a lot of work as they are usually 11.7 !!
That last one however crept in and its one posted by hendrik [7th May]

Great results again.
I checked that the 47 B10B puzzles have a non-degenerate tridagon, all with only one guardian.
Using the tridagon rule, 12 of them can be solved using only whips[2] and Triplets.

Tridagons in general as defined here: http://forum.enjoysudoku.com/the-tridagon-rule-t39859.html#p318373 and in [UMNR] or [HCCS2].
A guardian is any non-tridagon candidate in any of the 12 tridagon cells. It "guards" against the contradiction the naked trivalue oddagon pattern would imply.

Thanks i assumed that but was never sure ... but i guess for the casual reader it wasnt crystal clear

So in box 5 ... we cant immediatly insert either the 6 or 8 ... so that must be trickier
unlike the single guardians which are straight forward as in morphed #38

Right, but don't believe this is true in general. A puzzle with a single guardian can be much harder than one with many guardians (using ORk-chains).

If you start from a puzzle P0, expand it into P1, and then search for all the minimals of P1, then some of them may be harder than P0. There's nothing odd here.
In the same way, some of them may have a different number of guardians.

Is that with ? or without ? the single guardian inserted ?
In the case of the #37 case with the 7 inserted at r6c6 the difficulty is reduced somewhat
Searching for more double guardians , if thats possible, might be a step for Paquita !!!

I mean using the tridagon pattern in both cases, i.e. inserting the single guardian in one case vs using ORk-chains in the multi-guardian case as shown in my previous post.

Until now, all the puzzles in BpB, p>7, have a (non-degenerate) tridagon
(if I haven't missed any. Without a database being kept updated, it's getting hard to be sure.)
