I dont think i got any B7B puzzle that wasnt SE 11.6/11.7 and most are 11.7.

Preliminary screening was with skfr and none of the 11.0/11.1/11.2 were more than BxB 6

Ive taken the liberty of adding a few clues to Hendrik's recent puzzles, keeping the BxB and The SE the same / high.
This removes puzzles which are are subsets of the larger puzzles.
Ive grouped them in the twin puzzle groups, The q2,as before, confirms the grouping. i think all twins were present.
This generated a few more minimal puzzles but none were signicant.
SE sometimes varies with similar twins !!

Denis, you searched my files for B7B, I did not find any of those but there were these higher ones.

In your collection of 81139 puzzles from sept-oct 2023, I have 9 puzzles with BxB = 9.

Makes me wonder if the ph2010 has been searched for higher BxB already, because these B9Bs were not noticed either, at least not in these files.

I've computed the BxB for all of ph2010. The full distribution can be found in [HCCS2], Table 2.9.
It has 3 puzzles with BxB = 7 and none above. Nothing new to be expected there.

I plan to publish all the collections and detailed results used for the stats in [HCCS2], but it takes some time to clean the files

Yes possible that by now you already found the expanded forms and so the minimals as well.
I just mentioned that some of these were originally found by mith, but by then not recognised as B7B - like the B9Bs that I found.

The fact that they were also found by you in the meantime makes it more probable that no new high BxBs can be found.
But that remains to be seen.

I try to reproduce it with my own puzzles.

Can you give a walkthrough of what you do? I mean with the software that you use, and there, the commands.
I know now how I can get the minlex solution format, as you showed.
But how to get maxi expands, and pearlisation?
And what software do you use to calculate all minimals from a solution?

Ah I see..... they may have been found but not formally identified as as being B7B ...
Looking back at previous published lists of B7B - these are all among the first known / found
The first is the puzzle known as m-b-m with 20 clues. The maxlexsolution grid format is preferable therefore.

My computer can't run gridchecker either. But I have this version

I have not yet tested it if all options work correct.
I am not used to gridchecker so I have to find out what I can do with it.

Edit : Seems this version does not work as I expected.
Does anyone have a recent windows version?

I don't know exactly what commands do what with which input. Is there a manual so that I can test my compiled version?
It does some things sometimes but I am unsure of what I am doing.

Thank you coloin but that version I do have, it gives a Fatal Error message.

My own compiled version does work somehow and gives some output but I do not have a good idea what I am doing

for example I do this
GridChecker1 --solve --groupbygrid < filein.txt > fileout.txt

with filein.txt contains 1 puzzle
98.76.5..7.5.498...465.8....984.6.7...795........87....6.........4....32.....4.5.

then fileout contains

this is not what I expect as output, but something happens.

I have stopped trying to use gridchecker. It has x86 code, non standard uses of C and ill declared libraries.

When I (rarely) need to generate puzzles, I use gsf's program.
