i'd guess g.r.emlin had another crash

this may explain why gsf isn't playing---

the referee has been running since the start of this game
the log has a spot at 18 entries where it should have posted status
and actually updated its state as if it had
somehow that post dropped without a diagnostic
the next status at 28 worked

my plan B search has come up dry for this pattern with the first 8 clues set to 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
given mb's 8.5/2.6/2.6 entry that means a bug lurking
