I have occasionally tried to use submissions from one game as seeds in another, where the patterns, as here, are very close. Of course, the seed has to be converted by adding or removing a few valid clues, as appropriate.

The technique often gives decent ratings, but never ones that are good enough to be playable.

i was hoping you'd reach 11.x
as in 258

in the early part of 261,
i had the use of an i5 — very nice

but my problem remains, i can't reach the highest ratings;

I am still working on that pattern, but more to see how many puzzles rating high enough to enter the data base of potential hardest will come.
After 165 millions puzzles, nearly all of them already rated, I don't see the yield in high ratings collapse.

A rating of 10.9 if not bad at all. Moreover, 10.9/1.2/1.2 means that this is for a puzzles of more than 24 clues after singles. Anyway, the highest rating is nearly unpredictable.

That pattern has (as many of the pattern proposed in the games) a very high ratio of ratings passing 9.0. This is not easy to handle without a significant power (and the appropriate rating tools).
Here I use an i7 and some old code, but I am working slowly on improvements to go faster

I count so far

1 puzzle rating 10.9
2 puzzles rating 10.8
22 puzzles rating 10.7
170 puzzles rating 10.6 (9 diamonds)
