Doing {-2, +} on 37s grows. The latest 4 iterations gave new puzzles in ratio 77:82:86:93 (in megabytes of new 37s).

This stable growth of the high-clue collection returns me to eleven's question "how many 39s there are?" If there are 1400 (i.e. 700 more) 39s then it is likely new 40s to appear.
It would be costly but possible to attack 6666xxxx0 givens-per-digit distribution for 40s.

Mladen,

is this the end of your great search with the big result, that a minimal 40 clue exists ?

Or do you have the ambition to show me more than 1500 39's ?
(Of course in the meantime i am a believer that there are more)

I still didn't make a decision whether to continue. Except in the very beginning, I collected 36s but didn't involve them in the generation process. The 37+ seed almost exhausted and now I generated 2.5 millions 37s from 15% of the collected 466 millions 36s. Then switched back to seeding with 37+. Now I am waiting for the first pass to finish. It will take about 3 days and then I want to see how the previous generation rate of about 10 39s per day is dropped.
So far it is obvious that the minimal 40s are very rare.
I would be surprised if the number of 39s is less than 2000 or is more than 50 000.

Below are the latest 39s which arose either from the previous seed remnants or directly from the newly involved 36s.
