The news is not good. Sara is no longer replying to my mails. I have tried to contact the Whites at thei presumed addresses. The mails have not bounced, but nor have they elicited replies. I will try to ring them today or Monday. I think they're probably out of their depth.

First attempts to ring were unsuccessful (unavailable, answering machine etc.). If anyone in the US is prepared to try on (301) 497 9891 without the time difference, please go ahead.

The hardest sudoku thread is apparently active again. On June 10th, mith was the first to post a message there since the thread vanished on May 19th.

This time I finally got through but, at 9 a.m. their time, they were 'not quite up yet', but rather curtly promised to look into the matter and I asked Ann to send me an e-mail. Don't hold your breath.

.
I'm wondering what our options are.
In spite of all the useless posts, this forum has a significant amount of knowledge that can't be found in any other places and it is also a historical reference for it. Sure, it's hard to find the knowledge relevant to what one is looking for, but it's there.

If someone bought the forum (as an apparently unknown part of a bigger deal) but isn't really interested in keeping it alive, they may agree to sell it to some other organisation.
Maybe we should talk with the current owners and suggest that some university could buy it, be it only to put it online as some historical reference.

Otherwise, running the forum has some cost (in competence and work time), but just putting it online would cost only the yearly "enjoysudoku.com" domain name fees plus the yearly hosting fees. I estimate this to a maximum of 100$.
Any other idea about this?

Hello Everyone, I am thinking to create a sudoku forum, i can do that, What i need is all the contributors over here to start contributing there, we will have moderation system and all the necessary things in place.
we can create backups of this forum and start moving there, but all these would not be possible without you all because i am just a programmer/web developer.
if you are up for this do reply here or ping me on discord id: afk#3306 or telegram id: @ashish_feels

We can't let this dies, Lets revive this.

the forum was off line a few months back ...

Do we need to say our tearful farewells...?

With no posts from the Jason or the (potential?) new owners, addressing the handover or the g.r.emlin problem, one begins to wonder ...
