Cec, wrong on both counts, see underquark.

underquark has "The African Queen".

Kevin Bacon was on shaky ground with something he couldn't Ward off.

Nothing to do with Rosa Klebb.

What are knives:?:

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep:?:

* Tipula oleracea. - "Daddy Long Legs".
* Wow! That's deep. - "The Abyss".

I particularly liked the director's cut and the music "sang live".

Basket case - any of the following:?:

Demonstrating the Action of a Mergenthaler-Horton Basket Making Machine (1902)
Francis Hamper (2006)
Basket Case (1982)
Basket Case 2 (1990)
Basket Case 3: The Progeny (1992)

Or does it involve another island detective (nor Bergerac) and a bit of burning?

Yes Cec, it's "Blade Runner".

* Those people over there. - "Them!".
* Another day down the pit, lass. - "Coal Miner's Daughter".
* Cleopatra. - "The African Queen".
* You're fixing knives to your shoe's to do what? - "Blade Runner".

* A city one contains these.
* Basket case.

This is a bit of a stretch, but could this one be:

* Look at the ground shake. Jurassic Park?

By the way, I thought I was the only one who saw "Them"

Anyone see "The Thing?"

Look at the ground shake = Tremors (Kevin Bacon, Fred Ward)?

I think underquark has got 'em all, but he decides to keep his mouth shut... I'm thinking the opposite - just get 'em over & done as quickly as possible... Life's too short for anyone to linger on these for too long...

Believe it or not, there is actually a "City One", located in Sha Tin, Hong Kong. From this source, apparently City One contains a bus terminal... But I don't think bus terminal is the answer...:D

Your thinking is half right.

Because of MCC's "clue" here I'll take a guess and ask was there a movie called "The cane toad"

I think actor Kevin Bacon was the prisoner tormented by a cruel Warden in a movie "Murder in the First".

What made me think of movies in the first place? Feminine intuition.:D

* A city one contains these - Chicago (cargo/ container)

Alternate answer: "Speed" (Buses).

If you don't like them you don't have to do them. And does this apply to all riddles:?:

emm wrote:* A city one contains these - Chicago (cargo/ container)

No, not a name of a city.
