No, nothing to do with music but you’ll find me in prose and especially in verse.

Nothing really springs to mind.

"ae" is a diphthong.

Backwards r.ae = ea.r

"r" could = reader and "a" = ancient and "e" = Egyptian
so could it be "reader in ancient egyptian":?:

Has nobody any thoughts on this:?:

From here... That thread has sunk to the end of p.3 (probably p.4 while you're reading this)... Those were the days before the exile of our Ruudiculous master...

r.ae = Ruud - artistical exiler?

Yes, I resurrected this little corpse from the time when Ruud was rattling around the bottom level. He travels on a higher plane now but you can still reach him if you take the elevator, though I don't think he knows the answer:D

Anyway, enough of that hoary old chestnut:D

Getting back to the riddle, I wrote:Resurrection means to rise again but rebus does not mean to catch the bus again and reproof does not mean to prove again

I was pleased that r.ae does not appear in this collection of 100 rebus puzzles.

I thought it was original – but you can never be sure what of other people's stuff lodges in your brain without you realising ... eh, J K Rowling?

Does it help if I say that the . is a pictogram?

I'm sure that the answer has been said before, but I can't see it.......

I would go for
1. Left pointing ear
2. Left spotted/dotted ear

Hmm, spotted ear … no, but you're on the right track ...

and for being the first person to attempt an answer, you get a prize...

I bought you these on eBay. I hope the colour works.:D

Those ear muffs look fantastic, I don't think they would look nice next to my bandana & glass eye though.....

Anyway..... It seems that we are lost around the point, we need a clue, It must be just another period in a mixed era where everything just goes blank.

You must not assume anything.

Even if I got it, it must be subconsciously, as my conscious mind is feeling incredible dense.

But working off tarek's
Period in a mixed era

How about:
A point in time:?:

Which is more than likely, wrong.

No.

"." could mean:
Full stop
Stop
Dot
End
Halt
Terminate

Is it something along these lines:

Something in back ear:?:

Alright, this is drivin' me nuts!

So, I'm going to spoil everybody's fun and say that r.ae is : A female paramour; a mistress, concubine, or harlot - according to Dictionary.com

I know, I'm not supposed to look it up but I did the last time Emm used it and I just gots to know:D

Thank you
