The comeback of brainteasers

Anything goes, but keep it seemly...

Good, that means that I can start getting the opening bars of Vivaldi's Gloria out of my head (nine octave notes in a row)

Another clue

Will you be following the sun like David Beckham?

No refraction.

There is a tenuous link to 'Bend it like Beckham' , did anyone else follow the sun (though one of them pretends they haven't).

The Beckham clue refers to something more obvious.

Beckham went west, is that what your clue means?

Well done wintder some progress here.

"follow the sun" = "go west". In fact the journey might be even more specific.

We seem to be attacking the problem from the non-mathematical side now. Don't forget the sequence is there to help. I can't give you more terms as I don't want to get wet.

For a Beach Boys connection. Mike Love pinched one of my tunes.

Additional Beach Boys also recorded my original version as well, but it's not the tune we're afterl. Thought I'd chuck that in.

Problem here. As a teenager in the 60's, I am not supposed to remember anything about it.:D

He might have gone that way, but much earlier.

If we're on the road, how about Metallica's "turn the page":(it actually describes how i feel about this brain teaser:D )

Code: Select all
But your thoughts will soon be wanderin',
the way they always do
When you're ridin' 16 hours,
and there's nothin' much to do
And you don't feel much like ridin',
you just wish the trip was through

Here I am, on the road again,
there I am, up on the stage
There I go, playin' star again,
there I go, turn the page

Not that song Tarek. I see a 16 in there though. The numbers don't appear in the the song at all.

Strong connections to the last two I set. An event in one and I won't specify the other.

I have a real giveaway Soccer clue as well, which I will reveal if things get desperate:( (or hopefully after the event):).

Is it rhythm then?

if someone din't recognise the Metallica song because it is fairly new, it was a cover version of a song by Bob Seger.:D
