Hi ttt,
I checked how the solver considers that one. It remains after the scan for BBs in an "avreage difficulty stage". A completely different start.
Just a small point you could try to use (not easy to find)
We have a partial match in complex AC2 complementary to r79c8.
Here is the print for one of 2 similar forms
AC2:r1245c8 match 4r45c8.U 8r45c8.ë => r3c6 r6c5
so (4&8)r45c8 is a partial BB Exocet => r3c6 r6c5
This can give you additionnal ideas.
champagne
EDIT
I checked the situation without the scan for flying fishes.
At the start (where you are), the solver has an AIC net (medium size) to eliminate each of these
4r1c4 4r3c4 5r3c6 4r7c4 4r7c6 4r8c4
9r8c5 6r8c6 7r8c6
which can explain why the puzzle is not seen as very tough
