O.S.:?:

Thanks for that MCC.
O.S. stands for Old Style. I looked it up in Wikipedia:)

That's easy - Lennoxlove.
Do you have a Stewart/Stuart thing? (Annie Lennox + Dave Stewart are the music duo Eurythmics).

As with most any part of the world, really, there are towns with names that could be taken to mean other things. Some sound like diseases - Spott, Pitcox, Papple, Skateraw, Oldhamstocks. For a broader view of alternative uses/interpretations of placenames see "The Meaning of Liff" and "The Deeper Meaning of Liff", both by the late, great Douglas Adams - q.v. Humby, Longniddry, Papple (also in East Lothian).

I can't say that I've got a thing for Eurythmics but I've got a couple of their albums from the eighties.

Just to explain my weird reply. Due to poor eyesight I failed to notice the O.S.:?: in MCC's earlier post was a light blue color which normally would have only required me to click on to see what "O.S." meant. As such, I mistook this as another riddle asking what "O.S." meant. Thanks again to the PM which alerted me to my oversight and I'll be glad to collect my new reading glasses this week.:)
