Well, it changes all the time. But my current favorite is the unreleased Guns N' Roses track "There Was A Time".

There is the song from which my username originated:
"...You flush one down, it swirls around,
999 springs to flush down!..."

Type that into Google to find more.
It is very effective at passing train journeys, killing time, and making people bored/annoyed.

This seems to be a write-only thread. Everybody is posting their favorites, and nobody is responding to anybody else.

I assume 999 springs is like 99 bottles of beer on the wall, only 10.0909 times as annoying.

...999 springs...

Or a modified version of 99 red balloons, by Nena.
My favorites are:
Metallica: For whom the bells toll (S&M version is the best).
Almost any from Alan Parson's Project.
Iron Maiden: Hallowed by the name, The evil that men do.
Evanescence: Whisper.
Papa Roach: She loves me not.

That is indeed correct.

Possibly slightly more, as nobody knows how it ends and one may therefore make up the ending to make it more annoying.

My record time for the "999 Springs" song is 2 hours and 34 minutes. This occurred on a long train journey, and it was a Tuesday so the Metro Su-Doku only took 3 minutes.

About the only thing NOT annoying about 999 springs would be the ending. Sorta like the last question posed to Carnac the Magnificent on the Johnny Carson show, which always drew wild applause.

Isn't this off topic? Go post this on a Sudoku forum somewhere.

You mean not boring. My preferred made-up ending is "Oh no, the toilet broke! I'll have to start again." and go back to the beginning, and abruptly stop at 998 springs.

My point is that I was SO BORED that I was even bothered to do an all-singles Su-Doku.
