What am I? (UD2)

Anything goes, but keep it seemly...

I wouldn't make that quote to compare oneself to a turtoise...:D

Turtoise:?:

Wrong fable.
It's not 'The Hare and the Tortoise' but 'The Lioness'.

The Lioness
A controversy prevailed among the beasts of the field as to which of the animals deserved the most credit for producing the greatest number of whelps at a birth. They rushed clamorously into the presence of the Lioness and demanded of her the settlement of the dispute. "And you," they said, "how many sons have you at a birth?' The Lioness laughed at them, and said: "Why! I have only one; but that one is altogether a thoroughbred Lion."
The value is in the worth, not in the number.

Great fable... Got mistaken (again)...

Guess it's obvious I wasn't a spelling bee player as a kid... Mistakenly combined "turtle" & "tortoise" together...:D Perhaps it'll be a new species one day...:!:

I was just wondering how the state of play is at the moment -

#22 - #40 - #4 - #5 are home, I think that just leaves #42 and #10, unless there are any more competitors?
#10 seems to have abandoned play very early on, probably to play golf instead.
#42 must have ate some loco-weed and taken a wrong turn.

With burning ambition he overtook her and she felt the warm breath of hot pursuit give way to the icy backdraft of progress, simultaneously chilling her to the bone and making her blood boil, freezing her simmering intentions and fuelling a fiery determination in the wake of the turbulence preceding the cold front advancing behind him.

My muse has deserted me, so, from Meatloaf's 'Bat Out Of Hell'.

I can see myself tearing up the road
Faster than any other boy has ever gone
And my skin is raw but my soul is ripe
No one's gonna stop me now
I gotta make my escape
But I can't stop thinking of you
And I never see the sudden curve until it's way too late
I never see the sudden curve till it's way too late.

The barometer was rising and he felt sapped, like a pancake that had lain too long in a puddle of maple syrup, sticky like the sweat that was running down his back, enervating him and causing him to ponder the relationship between his rayon / polyamide underwear, the vinyl furniture and his inability to think of a bad opening sentence.

By the time I got home I knew it was a lie. The day had washed me out and even pushing the button in the elevator was hard work. The pain in my belly was coming back, sharp jabs of it with each beat of my pulse. When I got inside I started the bathwater going, then got undressed so there would be no waiting period before I got covered by the soothing warmth of the suds.

I should exspillane otherwise you'll think I'm in the same league as emm: My quote came from his book "The Black Alley" found here.

Frank Morrison Spillane aka Mickey Spillane a writer of crime novels, died July 17,2006, he is now an ex-Spillane (groan).

I’m not in any league MCC - I just push other people’s words around.

But you are The Riddle Maker – it seems there is nothing you cannot make out of nothing.:D
