What am I? (21)

Anything goes, but keep it seemly...

I hate to jump in so late, but is it "The unfinished symphony"?

Welcome onboard:D
It may seem like a clique, the solvers of these riddles, but it's not, all are welcome, the more the merrier:D

Hud wrote:...but is it "The unfinished symphony"?

No.

No, you don't need to know the title but the title is the answer. (I see what you mean Cec about the phrasing of your post).

The title is within the riddle.

By "piece" of music, do you mean an actual title such as "Mahler's 5th Symphony" or do you mean a piece of music literally as in a period is a piece - or part - of a complete musical work? Thus "The." means "The period".

Yes, the actual title.

I was thinking of something different when I posted the riddle with "The.", so take "The." to mean "The".

So your answer will be along these lines - "The _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ".

Is the title an anagram of "What am I" or a synonym of the question "What am I:?: "?

Surely not:?::!:

This is an enigma.
There have been (suspicious) variations in spelling etc.
Is it the Enigma Variations by Elgar?

What am I ?(21)

Postby Cec » Fri Jul 28, 2006 11:18 pm

MCC wrote:'No' I wasn't (personnally), and - 'No' I'm not (riddlewise).

That's a double 'No' then.

Would a double 'No' be a 'NoNo':?:

Do any of the following words provide a hint to the answer...
i. "riddlewise"
ii. " No"
iii. "No No"

In a simple answer - No.

Let's just say that the riddle is the answer:?:

Are you The Anacoluthon?

A modern classical piece of music.
A sentence without a proper end

Are you The Eroteme?

A (n obscure) piece of music.
A question-mark?

I've bolded the above to explain why I think the answer could be "The riddle" but can't see where "classical music" fits in.:?:

I thought about "The Riddle" too but MCC has banned it since "riddle" is a synonym to the question "What am I:?: "...
