Anything goes, but keep it seemly...

What am I? (12)

3.531*10^5
0.61
1*10^6
1.3079*10^6
2.624*10^4
0.001
0.0021
0.0011

From one, many will arise.

What am I:?:

MCC, when I was at school many^many years ago, unless brackets were shown, 3.531*10^5 could be interpreted as either:
(a) 3.531* (10^5) or

(b) (3.531*10)^5

Because no brackets are shown, which is the intended interpretation?

The order in which you carry out an arithmetic expression are:

Powers or Indices
Then
Multiplitcation/Division
Then
Addition/Subtraction

Anything in brackets is carried out before any other operation on it.

It does not matter which order multiplitcation or division is carried out, or the order in which addition or subtraction is carried out.

So (a) would be correct in your example you've shown.

This has nothing to do with sudoku.

wikipedia wrote:In mathematics an automorphic number is a number whose square "ends" in the number itself. For example, 5^2 = 25, 76^2 = 5776, and 890625^2 = 793212890625.

No.

You are looking for two words.

My guess: Decimal Numbers.:D

Alternatives: Decimal Base, Decimal Based...

In case I'm wrong (probably), may I ask is the concept mathematical?

I am not a number, I'm a free man. (This is not 'The Prisoner' related).

Decimal Numbers or anything 'decimal something' - No.

Rational or irrational - No.

Difficult - It comes down to definition here, it's probably more arithmetical than mathematical but I'll go with a preliminary yes to your question and see where you go with it.

Clue: I could be described as a set but I am more than likely to act alone.

Have people lost interest:?:

Lets try another clue.
An analogy.

You travel from point A to another point X.

Point A = Home.

Point X = Is another city from B through to I.

Means of travel can vary = Operation.

Every day for 8 days you leave from point A via an operation to point X where X is different each day.
