So, anyone going? I've made a thread to discuss the Championships. This is it. Discuss away!

Hey Paul, I checked your blog and I think it’s got a bug. Even though I clicked and clicked and clicked on ‘view my complete profile’, nothing at all came up! Not to worry - when you win the competition I’m hoping you’ll get your photo in the Times. (I’ve pre-ordered a copy Air Express.) (gushingly facetious)

PS : Is it OK to mention that you’ve got a typo in the first line?:D

Well, I fixed the typo. If I click that profile bit something happens (though nothing useful). Frankly, I'd delete that bit if I knew how to. I'd just ignore it.

I'm having you on Paul!:D ( I do hate it when I have to explain myself all the time! Ah, I forgot the emote. I'll edit)

And I picked you to win? (disarmingly frank)

Well, fascinating as this is, I was wondering if anyone actually knows anything useful e.g. any car parking space at the college? any idea how many are competing? how do completed puzzles have to be presented e.g. with all pencil marks erased? You know, stuff like that.

There were 300 qualification spaces, how many will turn up I guess is another matter. No idea about car parking space. As for how to present the puzzle, I'd imagine they won't mind as long as the answers are clearly legible.

Thanks em. Looks like it's a case of turn up, avoid the sartorially challenged and see what happens.

Congratulations! That's really good news. How many puzzles did you have to do?

just one

i thought that it was strange that they drag over 300 people to cheltenham to do one puzzle.

I would suggest that in a future championship each competitor does at leas two puzzles
