Anybody know where I can get a few Swordfish puzzles? I've been having trouble finding that pattern in puzzles, and it seems to be rather uncommon with the puzzle level I'm currently on. About the only way I can know for sure if a puzzle has a swordfish in it, is if I get so stuck, I end up plugging the puzzle into solver, and then the puzzles usually end up having other, more difficult, patterns in them.
Perhaps 25 puzzles should do the trick. Although I could download a collection too.
I mentioned in a different thread I was having trouble with Turbot Fish, but really I'm having trouble even with the standard Swordfish pattern. It would be easier to learn if I knew in advance the puzzle had a single Swordfish as the most difficult technique.

It's SE. ED is Explainer Diamond, I assume. (ER is Explainer Rating, EP is Explainer Pearl.) Someone who has been here longer can explain why the standard became using ED= when listing all three.

A lot of the puzzles I've posted have a bunch of swordfish. The Tatooine ones in particular, for the most part. (Not today's, though.)

Just curious, but how does one actually use Sudoku Explorer to figure out a puzzle is a diamond or a pearl?

You can also step through it in the GUI, if you're uncomfortable with command line. The first technique used will be the diamond rating, then you just need to keep track of how high the rating gets before it finds a single to get the pearl rating.

What file format is that? I was trying to find a website that does a better job explaining how to read those, and what the various numbers signify.
