I think in a regular game this sort of behaviour would be frowned upon! Although the rules don't forbid this.
I was trying to 'upgrade' the
9.9/1.2/1.2 = 32 submission pts
to this
9.9/9.9/8.8 = 53 submission pts + 103 EP/ED bonus pts
to gain
156 - 50 ajustment - 32 = 74 pts
i.e. 42 extra points. This did not work! Reading the previous (dobrichev) post would have saved me a failed attempt!
In game 336 qiuyanzhe had been docked -150 pts for a consecutive-entry. My 3rd consecutive entry was to test this. This did not work either!! And I went back to qiuyanzhe's submissions to find the adjustment was for a double-fault!!
So I'm now thinking whether it's possible to suffer the maximum of -250 pts of adjustments:
-50 for each invalid submission
-50 for each submission marked edited
-100 for each submission with ER/EP/ED that does not match the results of Sudoku Explainer 1.2.1
-50 for each self-trump
I think I can manage -200 pts...
Also, I've worked out a strategy for a single-player patterns game in case there is NO (zero) player submissions after 2-3 days of the game start - the submission pts would cancel out the adjustments, and a single-player should be able to achieve some 4000+ pts! Dealer pattern allowing! This remains untested!
