T thought that this was in the multi chains area, where no deviation skfr/serate was expected. In fact this seems to be short dynamic chains sequences. And here, existence of deviations is known. I'll see later to be closer to serate

do you mean that there were some short dynamic chains that skfr rated 8.5 or 8.6 that se picked up as 8.8 or 8.9? i thought se only started dynamic chains at 8.7, so is this not just because se misses some multi chains that skfr finds?

In the example checked, both proposed a short dynamic chain. I suspect a bug in the length count in skfr in this specific case, but being on the way to produce another clone, I don't want to dig in this old program.

And SE starts dynamic chains at 8.5 plus length adjustment, With a good chance to have 8.7 as minimum rating as you noticed.
