I made a very small batch for this game : 1.5 million sudoku ! 30 hours
I was not sure to have internet access
I tried to focus on diamonds and high rating with no deep search in the range 4.0 <=> 6.1
There was a lot of sudoku beginning with a single move ... that poluted the search but enables to find the 11.0

In the high range I didn't play my founds, I believed that I can find better ones but I didn't
This is my stat for the er >9.0

I am working in a different way and I don't have similar stats. I chain several batches and have no automatic way to select the next seeds. Having here only my laptop and limited by local constraints (high temperature and high humidity), I have to run it with a limited load. I tested a primary filter based on the brute force results at generation time.

At the end, I tested 1.78 puzzles in the main flow where the 11.0/1.2/1.2 could not be. (BTW I had the 10.4 diamond in hands when you posted it, but I was waiting for the next cycle). One problem to catch it later is that it was in a much bigger base (37 million puzzles) where normally only ratings below 6.2 are of interest.

I have to think more about that. (I have also to finish the implementation of another idea)

And I'll be locked for the next game(s).

Patterns Game rules say, that the game can become idle even 4 days after the last submission. So, we can only wait. And, you are right, Mike, that the starting times will be very hard to predict. It is possible that the next game will start at 14:00 UTC+1, but it is also possible that it will start at 02:00 UTC+1! We need to wait - if there will be no response from g.r.emlin for 4 days, then we can say that the PG died. Do you want this?

With four players, the game should go idle after 22 hours. I think last time it took just over 2 days. But g.r.emlin has always stopped the game eventually

and closed the game before reaching the longer (4-day) time-out

on several occasions,
it ignored the 24-hour time-out
(when 4-players-or-more)
