The pattern has as far as I can see no potential for an exocet,

I am looking whether some criteria can give a quick approach to the high ratings in such patterns.

No, just that with a simple filter -- no singles, no "braid" eliminations.
What came out of that, I used for new seeds (and rated with SE).
The path from a seed to a new puzzle output, was allowed to contain puzzles not passing the filter.

Not so sure, such a gap is often seen in highest ratings.
More interesting for me will be to see if some rules for a guided generation can come out of that lot for such patterns having no exocet.
