midway through this game I finally retooled to use skfr as a filter before calling se
it makes a huge difference
ps(1) (unix process status listing) during the previous search always showed the search waiting on se
now its hard to catch skfr running (the search calls it once for each interesting puzzle)

now its hard to catch skfr running (the search calls it once for each interesting puzzle)

No surprise. On my side, i switched off the computer on Xmas day having in my data base about 150M puzzles rating 4.5 and more
But I use mainly (say more than 90% of the work) the version of skmpp following serate global sequence of ratings.
With some practice, I am to a point where less than 1/1000 of the puzzles are requiring a skfr rating.
And after one day, only a tiny part of these puzzles need to be checked using serate (as soon as I have in cache the collection of diamonds).

BTW, I did not have the diamond 9.4 in cache.
