The pattern can be made from the only 27-clue "diagonal" pattern template which isnt symetrical.

of course it can be made from some of the other 14 symetrical templates from here

Not sure if that means there are more unique puzzles with a non-symetrical pattern - but thats what i would think.

Interestingly - of the 15 different 27 clue patterns - removing 3 clues from one box to give a 24 clue pattern with an empty box - only gives rise to 18 different templates - out of 8099 possible 24 clue templates. so there are less diagonal patterns with an empty box - and therefore less unique puzzles. Maybe less likely to have spectacular diamonds like champagnes
