nice one JPF,

I must say that this is the 1st time I looked closely at how SE rates puzzles....

I chose that 7.2 puzzle out of several to show how a difficult puzzle (20 chains) is still rated 7.2

Referee,
rule wrote:After making a submission a player must wait until another player has made a submission before submitting another puzzle.

I think that the rule is too tough :

Let's assume that I still have 6 new puzzles to post...

I could get : 55+56+57+58+59+60=345 pts, and therefore be the winner of the game:D
With the actual rule I can't post.

I suggest to allow posting an other puzzle after 12 hours (or less ?).

Actually, I still have (only) one other puzzle to submit !

thanks for the pearl ref
for the first move using SS constraint order, I get locked-candidates for the 9.0 and naked quad for the 8.2
and from the ref it looks like that makes them not pearl

assuming each player makes all of the moves possible within the rules
the last player will have 0 or more puzzles in a cache that can't be played
rather than the game morph into solitaire spread out over #puzzles*8 hours
some form of bonus for the last player with extra puzzles might be more pleasant for the other players
maybe a flat SCORE_MORE or SCORE_MORE*#extra.puzzles
