New Brainteaser Addition

Anything goes, but keep it seemly...

New Brainteaser Addition

Postby udosuk » Mon Apr 13, 2009 3:46 pm

Intrigued by the recent turn of events, I analysed and wrote:LMSB -> LNSBRMHJ
LMSN -> LNSRBMHJ
LMHB -> LNBRSHMJ
LMHN -> LNRBSHMJ
LRSB -> LRNBSHMJ
LRSN -> LNRSBHMJ
LRHB -> LRNBSHMJ
LRHN -> LNRBSHMJ
JMSB -> LNSBRMJH
JMSN -> LNSRBMJH
JMHB -> LNBRSHMJ
JMHN -> LNRBSHMJ
JRSB -> LRNBSJHM
JRSN -> LNRSBJHM
JRHB -> LRNBSHJM
JRHN -> LNRBSHJM

Hope I didn't make any mistake in my analysis.

Hopefully the "final answer" will be revealed in 2 days.:idea:

So the brainteaser is, what is the question?:?:

After Tuesday night, half of the analysis became irrelevant, and I wrote:MSB -> LNSBRMHJ
MSN -> LNSRBMHJ
MHB -> LNBRSHMJ
MHN -> LNRBSHMJ
RSB -> LRNBSHMJ
RSN -> LNRSBHMJ
RHB -> LRNBSHMJ
RHN -> LNRBSHMJ

Thankfully the likes of PJ, KB, PG, LO, AB didn't let up, as I'm glad to see the dirtyness of J stays in where it deserves.

Oh, and this:

After a brief revision of history, I wrote:JJSLLLSLSMSL

I'm afraid the answer to that question won't be revealed in these 2 days. More like in a month!:!:

But it's a good try!:)

From the grammatical correctness police:

"Who are the top 4?" or better yet, "Who will be the top 4?":idea:

But more specific background information please?

Okay, I guess I should be the one giving more background information.:idea:

So here I will show the skeleton of the question in my mind, with the number of letters replacing some of the missing words:

This is the question I wrote:What will be the (7) (7) of the (3) (7) (10)?

The answer to this question shall be revealed tomorrow...:idea:

correctness police
im arrested the most, i have very poor grammer.

im deriving my random guess from the thread
foodball crazy

and that the compresed notation that these are teams.
or abbreivated players names.

with stats of some sort following them.

and after a point in time the list droped by half
(which is typical for a play off}

This is what I hoped for from the list I wrote:LRSB -> LRNBSHMJ

Instead, this is what actually happened from the list I wrote:LMSB -> LNSBRMHJ

So R fell all the way to #5 from #2. Bitterly disappointed.:(

You could have clinched it had you annnounced the actual sport.:idea:

Note the play-off (playoff/playoffs/play-offs) hasn't/haven't started yet.

Wrong sport.

But thanks for being the only participant. Guess you're the winner by default.:)

I did just learn that it's the Super 8 stage of the World Cup in a certain "sport".....

.......and a legitimate sport is currently holding its 2009 World Cup Qualifiers.

Wrong sport again. But thanks heaps for joining in Luke!:)

So you guys have absolutely no clue about the analysis I did, right? Bit surprising with where both of you are from.

This is the question above I wrote:What will be the (7) (7) of the (3) (7) (10)?

The 3-letter word is not ICC.

Highlight below to view the hint I wrote:Pay attention to the thread title.

I see. Just in time, as I was about to lay curses upon you. It's a no brainer, actually. Watch it, though. You may have more men than women angry at you for the crack about J.....
