Is this a bad joke...???

Anything goes, but keep it seemly...

Is this a bad joke...???

Postby RW » Tue Jun 12, 2007 9:00 pm

Please tell me that this new layout is a late april fools... or else, please tell me there's a way to get a full screen view of the forum. This is clearly a design of someone who hasn't read a single thread on here and has no idea of what this narrow window does to pm grids and threads containing puzzles in line format.

Thanks Mauricio! Though I still think they should rethink this layout. It totally ruins the experience and makes the threads unreadable for the occassional visitors who hasn't read your advice.

btw. Opening a thread in a new window works in IE as well.

Did you see the current ownership is RealNetworks? That's the same firm (I think) that has Real Player.

I expect lots of additional changes soon ... and we'll probably be happy with only a few of them.

Perhaps now would be a good time to make sure that more than just my old posts are backed up.:(

I'm not sure I want to back up my 1800+ of old posts.:(

For the record I actually like some of the Real products. The .rmvb format is the best video format IMHO.

At the top of each post, on the left, by the word "posted", there is a little square/rectangle with the corner folded down, right click on this and click on "open in new tab" or on "open in new window" and you should get the full page.

I just found out that if you click on a link within a post it opens up in the "postage stamp" which you then have to open up in a new window or tab.

The bad joke gets worse! Are we supposed to go through every single post we have written and correct the links to other threads?? There's nothing worse than people who just assumes everything to work well without giving practical issues a single thought. I sincerely hope that they fix this problem as soon as possible, but I'm afraid this will never happen. Knowing big corporations, I wouldn't be surprised if we never even get a "hello" from our new administrators.

Mine all seem to be working now.

Yes, I was wondering if anybody from the administration side was going to say hello

old links look like this --
http://forum.enjoysudoku.com/viewtopic.php?p=6724#p6724

they fail,
as the links must now say "boards" rather than "forums"

e.g.
http://forum.enjoysudoku.com/viewtopic.php?p=6724#p6724
