The web site has gone down before: here, and it's come back up. The site registration was Last updated: 03-Jan-2019 with Expiry date: 02-Feb-2021, so maybe there's some hope it will be back...

That's not correct. It -- or at least its subsite, www.sudoku.org.uk/kakuroflash/kakuro.html -- was OK yesterday (or, at least, the day before).

Last time this site went down (a few years ago), it was down for at least a week, and it came up piece by piece, over the course of an additional week or so. Sigh.

I was involved in the thread the last time the site went down.
At the time, the site was supported by Splash Software and I still have the email address of a support guy there tbond@splashsoftware.co.uk
I will try to contact Trevor, but if he has moved on .........

Splash Software is based in Houston TX; I have emailed the contact point on their website for information.
It's early hours there now and, of course, they may no longer have a connection with sudoku.org, but worth a try.

Progress of a kind .....
From day 1 my attempts to access the site resulted in a Chrome error msg that the site had taken too long to respond.
Now I am getting '500 - Internal Server Error'
Probably irrelevant ..................

This is progress. It shows something has changed at the website. May not mean it will be back soon though. Same thing happened last time.

The site is up now finally. Submitted the puzzle. My submission history shows Not Submitted for last week. Not fair it is not my fault that the site was down.
