I did some experiments with the last pattern proposed by Hajime. Yesterday the program turned a long time for a few uninteresting examples. Today I had more luck. An x-wing 3.2 example in less than a second, and yesterday it took hours.
Here are the results:
Code: Select all

Because SiSeSuSo does not has the same order to test a method as SudokuSolver, I did not reach the X-wing, but found a Naked and Hidden Quad first.
So solved with Naked/Hidden Subsets and Pointing/Claiming only:
Code: Select all
#1//B4,JS

Here is an example, same layout, with lots of methods needed (VWXYZ-chain and some Turbot-fish on top of the Jigsaw-pieces and rows or columns)
Not more than SER=6.4
Code: Select all
#1//B4,JS
6...1......3........2...9..7......9.5..................48.....5.2............7.1.
111152222144152552144355552114353922444333999664373988677773998677678998666678888

Found a bug in the January version of SiSeSuSo when no boxes but jigsaws and VWXYZ-wing is tested :(
Fixed it and also published it on the website today.

The attentive reader will find out that the examples are generated from 4 sets of solution grids.
The highest rated one (SE 7.1)can be solved with SiSeSuSo(options singles,subsets,pointing/claiming,2-sk/skyscr/turbotcr,x-wing/swordfish/yellyfish,first<11-XY-Chain):

Is this possible in JigsawExplainer?
first step: generate random shape
second step: fill in 1 row/column/box completely with 1 to 9
third step: generate solution: continue until possible shape is valid
fourth step: with valid shape use generated solution in use solution to create new jigsaws
same for other blocks and diagonal variants

Possible: yes. But it wont have this feature.
To create jigsaw layouts, see this thread: http://forum.enjoysudoku.com/jigsaw-layouts-generate-test-t35712.html
The 2nd post has some seed patterns, and a number of posts later Mathimagics describes a Donor-Recipient Method for creating random contiguous jigsaw layouts.
