I often tried to theorize the signifigance of your former moniker.
What did "rep'nA" signify to you?

I'm not him, but I guess the former name was short for "representation A".

Good guess udosuk. I'm a mathematician and my research area is the representation theory of finite groups. Due to the length of that description, I often shorten it to just rep'n theory (or rep'n f'n theory if I'm in a Guns N' Roses sort of mood). The A is the first letter of my first name.

Would somebody please explain what is going on here,
e.g. why rep'nA can't use his original account, etc?
(I doubt if I'm the only one not in the know who would like to know.)

this has been discussed under the topic:

For reasons unknown, rep'nA's account and posts disappeared a few days ago.

He had updated his account profile,
but that may simply be coincidence.

There is no way that I am aware of for an account and posts to be spontaneously deleted,
so I'm at a loss to explain (and therefore fix) it.

and the new address is mis-spelt hence invalid --

Nope, it would just mean that he wouldn't get emails from phpBB (for watching threads, etc.)

From the ashes, I've brought with me a naked single:

Saturday afternoon my wife went into labor and by Saturday night she gave birth to our second baby boy, Jonathan. He weighed in at a hefty 8 pounds 4 ounces (3.74 kg) and took all of an hour to figure out from where his food comes. Mom and baby are both very healthy and looking forward to the Scottish weather to clear up a bit so that they might venture outside.
