my MOJO allows me to remove stuff --
but only retail, one at a time

there's no way i can even try removing hundreds

i'm trying a PM to Nhernandez,
hoping he can get it deleted wholesale (via SQL)

yeh, at 30 secs per thread, that would be 5+ hours of effort
give me temporary moderator privileges and I'll help

any html point/click session can be scripted
that's how g.r.emlin is coded

can you delete only posts, or can you also delete topics?
if topics, do they have to be empty to delete?

i can delete any Topic in its entirety --

  1. click on the desired Topic
  2. scroll down to reach the Moderator's toolbar (set of 4 buttons) --
click the first button on left
img src="templates/subSilver/images/topic_delete.gif" alt="Delete this topic" title="Delete this topic"
  3. see an "Are you sure?" --
    click Yes
      input type="submit" name="confirm" value="Yes"

Pat, probably wishful thinking, but is there a backup system that would allow you to back up a day or two?

i suppose an Admin (not me!)
could go back to an earlier version

( we do hope they run weekly backups or something,
against a catastrophe
)

we'd be losing some unknown amount of posts
( depends on how far back the backup is )

if we can get an Admin to intervene,
i'd much rather they use SQL
for a bulk-delete of those Topics authored by bober

Hopefully, but I don't expect that will happen.

give them a chance --
in California, it's only 9 in the morning
and what if Nhernandez has vanished?

the only alternative i see would be via scripting
      but i'm on Windows --
can someone offer a Windows script ?

The name of the latest registrant ... OnlineOrder ... doesn't bode well.

[edit: In 10 minutes IT has 13 spams. Somebody DO something, or there'll be another 600 droppings to shovel.]
