Win a Sudoku Book

Postby International_DBA » Tue Aug 09, 2022 8:34 am

If you would like to win a copy of my book, please go to the link below.
Look at the preview, solve puzzle 1 then send your answer to me at international_dba@yahoo.co.uk.
The subject line should be
New Sudoku Players Forum Book Promotion 1

Do not include your address in the email.
At the end of September 2022, I will choose a winner at random from the (correct) entries, get their address at that point, send them their prize and announce the winner on this forum:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B3DHXPHT/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_taft_p1_i0

If the promotion is successful and I get lots of entries, I will repeat the promotion with puzzle 2 and so on.

Please do not post the puzzle or its solution here.
If anybody does this the promotion will definitely not be repeated.

Why not post the puzzle #1 ?
Hidden Text: Show
7.9..32.......4..1..4..1.78.2.3.7.8..7..9...25.......9...7..8..8..5.9.1..9......4

Nothing fancy about the "hard" puzzle
One Naked Pair (36)b6e58 => (-3)r5c7
Two Pointing, Claiming | (1)b7c1 => (-1)r5c1 | (4)c4b5 => (-4)r4c5 (-4)r6c5
One XYZ Wing (-6)b4r6 => (-6)r6c2
One XY-chain length 4 (1)(1=6)r4c5-(6=8)r6c6-(8=6)r9c6-(6=1)r9c4 => (-1)r7c5 (-1)r9c5 (-1)r6c4
Rest is Naked/Hidden Singles

Good/heavy for pencil/paper human solvers on paper though.

I have not posted the puzzle because I am trying to promote my book.
In exchange somebody will get a free copy.
If the group don't like that I won't do it again.

I have software to produce harder puzzles if necessary but I would need to be convinced that there was a demand for them first.

I received no entries for this competition so I will not be announcing a winner.
