Why does minimizing ...

... have to make the puzzle ineligible for the Hall of Fame? If I need to set it aside for a few minutes, surely the clock could keep ticking, but the puzzle should stay eligible?

As it is, hit Esc by accident, and the magic asterisk is gone.:(

Although you talk about Minimizing the program, you are actually describing Pausing. Pausing and Minimizing are different. It seems that what you really need is to Minimize the program.

You should go to the Index of the Sudoku Help window and under "Pause" choose the sub-item "Pause program". It will explain the difference between Pausing and Minimizing.

All right ... indeed it appears that I have paused when I really wanted to minimize. So can I then request a future option to disable pausing (and have Esc mean minimize instead)?

I have never yet wanted to pause -- why would I do that? Yes, the timer stops, but the hall of fame that keeps track of time will not accept the game anyway, so it really does seem pointless (for me at least). On the other hand, Esc would be really convenient for a quick minimize function (without pausing).
