Why can't thick bars be remembered like size and options?

I read all the posts here. No one complained about the fact that View->Thick Bars is not retained between program executions, although window size and other options are. Am I missing something? Running as administrator on XP.

The existing behavior was a deliberate decision, when the program was being designed. I won't go into the reasons why (except to say that there were some...)
However, this behavior will be changed in the next version of the program, currently being worked on.

That's good news Wayne.
You have an excellent progeam that is fun to use. Since I run quite high resolution, (1600x1200) I always need the thick bars enabled.
Add my second to the suggestion to allow a number key to select the big number when in mouse input mode. It makes a lot of sense and seems very natural. Especially useful on mouse challenged laptops.
Looking forward to the update you are working on.
