Some quick hints:

1. The Devil is a user among us but not a moderator or anybody with any authority (in this forum anyway)...

2. His namesake is a world famous Red one from a certain European country (and I suspect he's from that country too... but no evidence)...

3. Of his 2 newly acquired hitmen, one is from a certain American state and the other is related to the number 7...

Think of synonyms to the word hitmen...

Okay, no more mystery...

The European country from which the Devil (and his Red namesake) came was the Netherlands.

The American state mentioned was Texas.

The association to the number 7 is about a certain period of days...

The synonym to the word hitmen is a 7-letter word starting with k (plural form)...

And if all these are not obvious enough, I'll reveal the answer next time, after someone gives it a go...

You are talking about him who has aquired a weekly assassin killer and a Texas jigsaw killer. But I'm not sure what you mean by Red namesake, or why he is a devil...

Oh, I assumed everyone is familiar of the Manchester United football club, which has a nickname called the Red Devils, and their world famous Dutch player, who shares the same first name of our subject here...:)

You see, sometimes calling somebody a devil can be a compliment, especially if he keeps providing evil and demonic puzzles to entertain everybody...

That explains it. I do know their famous dutch player, but I didn't know about the ManU nickname. Calling someone a devil can certainly be a compliment, I guessed your riddle was intended to be one.

That's true...:) Speaking of the devil, I wonder if he'll ever come here and discover this riddle thread before it sinks to the later pages... Perhaps he's busy following his namesake's progress in the World Cup...:D

Maybe Ruud's brushing up on his football skills for the match against Portugal and hasn't had time to visit lately:!:
