I don't see anything that looks like a well. I see nine numbers, that's all. Nothing happens to any of them when I have filled in all nine of a number. I have tried the toggle on/off, and nothing seems to happen.
Someone please draw a picture and tell me what I should be looking for?

The wells are at the bottom of the grid, they are empty at the start.
What you need to do is click on 'view' then click 'game options' then click 'hall of fame tab' and make sure that the 'wells' box is ticked and automatic is selected.
