What am I? (27)

Anything goes, but keep it seemly...

I think not as well.

Nothing has landed on Earth.

Remember:
Where am I:?:

Also bear in mind how lists are ordered.

Cec, you're nearly there, just one letter short of the correct answer.

Clue: "Where am I:?: " is a place name.

Also bear in mind how lists are ordered.

Well, I've been staring (and more staring) at my previous answers and now starting to see spots...don't ask me have I seen a doctor ... not yet, just spots:)
If anyone can work out the answer then post it - the diet coke is starting to taste flat:)

As a long shot, because I've mentioned the word "word" then I'll go for "World" as an answer even though I can't relate this to MCC's last clue "Also bear in mind how lists are ordered".

Well, from what Cec has attempted, I suspect the possible candidates are "planet", "meteor" and "Land"... But about adding a letter to these words... I have no idea...

On the other hand, since the question asked "Where am I?", I suppose "Earth" could be an answer which cannot go wrong...:!::)

You keep saying this, but we KNOW that SOME meteoroids have already hit/landed on the earth, which then became meteorites instead... So has the correct answer anything to do with the word "nothing"?

MCC wrote:Also bear in mind how lists are ordered.

They are usually ordered alphabetically... So is the "first one" beginning with the letter "A" followed by another "a" (e.g. Aaron something)...:?:

So close.

Couldn't it:?:
Earth could = Planet Earth, or = soil, besides soil there is water i.e. oceans, seas etc.

But to stop you going off on the wrong track, you are on planet Earth.

"nothing" is not correct.

And:?:

A possible explanation of MCC's clue "Also bear in mind how lists are ordered". He may be referring to how "World" rankings are listed in order of best performance for the year? I still can't come up with another answer than "World".

PS. Just noticed MCC has posted some more clues so I will resume more thinking. Looks like "World" is wrong answer:(

Cec, it's not "World".

The answer lies within udosuk's and my last posts.

Could it be a certain Finnish Archipelago, an Indian town or a German river?

My thinking to the correct answer is either.....

(a) adding one letter to one of these three words (planet, meteor or land) without re-arranging the existing letters of that particular word or. and more than likely ....

(b) re-arranging the existing letters of one of these three words and adding another letter to form another word describing the name of a place.

Am I on the right track? If so, is it (a) or (b)?

None of these.

Cec, I think that at the end it should definitely be (a).

This sure is a "brain-teaser":) As MCC has also said "...Where am I:?: " is a place name" then the answer requires just one letter being added to any one of the following three words without having to re-arrange the existing letters of that particular word:

planet ...meteor ... or land?

How about "Land's End" which is the most western point of England.

It's not "Land's End", that's an extra four letters not one.

I've already told which letter to add:D
