Times Killer No 251 12.07.06

I am totally baffled by this killer puzzle. I just cannot find my way into it apart from one solitary number. Can anyone give me some clues please:?:

Which did you get? I solved it yesterday (Tricky seems to be my upper limit!).

Look at column 1 - from that you should be able to fill in col 2, row 8 which tells you 2 of the figures in column 1.
23 from 3 cells only has one solution so they go in.
That tells you how the 16 from 4 is made up.

Well, that's a start, I really don't remember what I did next.
And sorry for not knowing the proper terminology, don't visit here often!

Thanks Emma but that is exactly what I did - I also put in the obvious numbers that only had one solution or a recurrent number - but then I got stuck!

I find some of the Killers are virtually impossible but I usually manage the Tricky ones:(

Anything else you can think of would be gratefully received:)

If you haven't already got this -

11/4 = 1235 and the 12 can't be in box 7

r7c789 = 20 which must be ???

this gives you the 10/2 and r7c1

then r1c4 using outies and so on
