Crazy Girl, Perfect Sudoku v0.5 rates this puzzle BRAIN and it doesn't even require any sort of cage splitting to solve. After you found that cage 11 = 5+6, you do have to work on the possible cage sum combinations a lot and eliminate some values that way. After that, it's all naked/hidden subsets from there.

I did this puzzle in the paper. Unfortunately I have thrown away my solution, but don't remember it being too difficult.

I know this is not much practical help for you to solve it - just encouragement to keep going.

This one did take me a while but djape is quite right about having to use the cage possibilities. I would enter candidates for some of the cages e.g. 6,8,9 for the 23(3) in box 9, and the other 7(3) cage overlapping box 8 and 9 for starters. You also know that with an 8(3) cage 1 must go in it somewhere as the only possibilities are {125} or {134}.

There's a very useful calculator at Jean-Christophe's site here: http://sudoku.apinc.org/?page_id=30

HTH and do let us know when you've solved it:)
