Always did wonder what the secret was.

Personally, I think ABC will win. The real question is by what year will they only show the game during the intermission of a 3 hour live concert.

Does the World Cup get treated that way? (I hope not.)

If the games are that boring you could also tune into the Lingerie Bowl, or alternate between them during intermissions, of which I understand there are quite a few.
Something else that will not be happening during the World Cup.

What???? The World Cup doesn't allow scantily clad women to run around on the field? Why would anyone want to watch the game then? You'll never get a very large viewership with thinking like that. Y'all better get your priorities straight.

yeah is like an intermission like ever 5 minutes. players call time outs. each team gets three per a half; each half is 30 minutes long. then they have a 2 minute warining for 2 minutes left in the half. they do an intermission after each quarter. then they do one at random for random reason. but the comercials are the best during the super bowl since all of america is watiching it, it cost like 30 million dollars for 30 seconds.

Hi Chessmaster

I assume the 30 minutes for each half is actually 30 minutes of play time not including the intermissions otherwise if it included intermissions not much playing would be done.

English football is a game of two halves, each of which is 45 minutes long.
There is a half time break of about twenty minutes.
If the referee stops play for an incident, the time for all stoppages in each half is added to the end of each half.
No protection other than shin-guards is worn.
No adverts are shown during play.

Would Americans permit a World Title fight be conducted with the same rules as American football.
With all the intermissions, and time outs called by each contender when they get tired.

If the American people stopped buying the goods that were advertised during a game then the advertisers might get the message.

Caught a bit of the game last night, the last 5 minutes of the 1st quarter, it took about 25 minutes to complete those 5 minutes.
At that rate it'll take 5 hours or more to complete the game.

you sould see the last two minutes of each half. the clock stops when ever someone goes out of bounds or when there is an incompleate pass.

Can a game ever be drawn, equal score at the end of play?
And if so, how is the matter resolved?

in a regular season game they do one peroid of overtime which is an extra 15 minutes. first team to score wins. if no one scores it is a tie. in a play of game such as the super bowl they keep playing till someone wins.
