Sugg: index for puzzles that have been published

Postby pizza » Sun May 22, 2005 10:12 am

Every puzzle in syndication should have a unique index code like "puzzle 54321"

It will make it easier to compare with people from different parts of the world. If puzzle 54321 appeared on sunday in the UK, monday in canada, etc you will still know you are discussing the same puzzle.

This is basiclly the same suggestion as: http://forum.enjoysudoku.com/viewtopic.php?t=264

And I disagree with it... The chance that the same puzzle is published twice is very small..

Does Pappocom distribute a different puzzle to each of the papers he services or do they all get the same puzzles:?:

If they get same puzzzles (possibly on different days due to dateline and deadlines) it might be useful to have a number that corelates them so that people around the world can discuss the same puzzle.
