Sudoku 10,000 Pro

Postby Pupp » Wed Jun 16, 2021 8:23 pm

I generally don't make thread about which Sudoku app I use.

Not sure if Sudoku 10,000 is available on iPhones. -I use android.

I just wanted to mention they fixed several bugs I'd complained about last year.

You can import other file formats again. For awhile, the only games you could import was "Beyond Nightmare".

They fixed that. I installed tens of thousands of puzzles from Sudocue.
Some of the sets have puzzles for casual players. Most are collections for experienced players.

That's just from one website. I'm on vacation, but when I get back, I'm hoping I can install my pearls collection. I think that's 6000 puzzles, and one I'd use a lot.

I don't remember where I downloaded the pearl collection.

The solving engine in that app looks to be a version of SudokuExplainer modified to run on Android.

Interesting.

I never even looked at that option. I'll have to toy around with that. :geek:

This is embarrassing, but what does it mean "Extra Region"?

The app supports some sudoku variants with extra regions (constraints) like X, Windoku, Asterisk ...

I never used the analyze function on Sudoku 10,000 till today.
Unbelievably helpful.

It doesn't solve the problem, but just gives a list of what techniques you need to do to solve it, with hot links to Sudopedia.

Heck, if I'd known about that a year ago, I would have been posting a lot less stupid stuff. HAHAHAHAHA.

Does anybody know if the Pearly 6000 can use a different file extention?

It's a .txt extention. Text file.

I use Andoku 3 on my phone. It has a really neat feature where you can use your smart phones camera to scan in any puzzle.

I did a video tutorial on Andoku 3. Here's the link:

I really like the HARD and VERY HARD levels. These two levels have really improved my skills and speed.

Andoku has a really cool feature of being able to import puzzles using your smart phone's camera and scanning in the puzzle. So you can use some web app to show the puzzle grid and then use your phone's camera to load up a bunch of puzzles on your phone.

Here are the instructions on how to use Andoku's puzzle scanning feature:

Got that thanx.

Have not found how to get Andoku to filter or highlight individual candidates in unsolved cells.
Is there a tutorial for that, please?
