Note from Pappocom: I don't supply the Samurai puzzles to The Times, but someone does - and I am sure they don't want to reduce their chances of selling Samurai puzzles to papers in South Africa because South African solvers can get Samurai puzzles from this site.

Samurai SuDoku - 9 July

In South Africa all we get is one measly sudoku in the morning paper - nothing in any evening papers and nothing at all over the weekends - and definitely no samurais.

Are Samurai's published on a regular basis? Which papers and what dates have they been in?

They have been appearing in The Times on Saturdays since 28 May.

Maybe this will be helpful. A freely available samurai sudoku, which isn't copied from the Times. The site calls it a "Gattai-5". which apparently is the Japanese name. Supposedly there is a new one each week.

(found it from a link scrose provided in a thread about solvers)
