I note that Internet Explorer is listed as a requirement for Sudoku. Is this needed to run the program or only for installation?

I ask this because I would like to keep my computer virus free and don't want to have to keep installing/uninstalling IE each time I want to swap between using Sudoku and the Internet. Sudoku is fun but it's not that much fun.

Some of the Internet Explorer code is needed when the program is being run.

That doesn't mean that you have to use Internet Explorer as your browser of choice. The Sudoku program just needs to use the IE engine, which is probably part of your Windows installation already (unless you have gone to extraordinary steps to delete it).

Yes, I have removed IE from my system, it's one of the reasons that I have never had a virus infection in over 15 years.

So I guess I'll have to give your program a miss then.
