Game 315 produced 11,692 + 1278 = 13,970 puzzles sufficiently hard to be included in Champagne's hardest database.
1278 puzzles occupy a sub-pattern.
The 11+ puzzles are (puzzle, skfr-rating, serate-rating)
Code: Select all
1...2.3....41....5.6...7.1..4..8.1..2..5....3..6....9.4..6..8....7..3....5..4...9 ED=11.0/11.0/10.5 ED=11.2/11.2/10.6

It is very rare to find a minimal x-sudoku using Patterns Game patterns, but here is one:
Code: Select all
 . 9 . . . . . . 3
 2 . . . . 4 . . .
 . . . . 1 . 8 . .
 . . . 5 . . . 3 .
 . . 2 . 9 . 1 . .
 . 3 . . . 8 . . .
 . . 5 . 3 . . . .
 . . . 2 . . . . 6
 7 . . . . . . 5 .   X-sudoku, pattern 321, not minimal, fairly easy

 . 9 . . . . . . 4
 7 . . . . 8 . . .
 . . . . 5 . 1 . .
 . . . 6 . . . 8 .
 . . 7 . 3 . 9 . .
 . 2 . . . 1 . . .
 . . 6 . 9 . . . .
 . . . 5 . . . . 3
 5 . . . . . . 4 .   X-sudoku, pattern 321, minimal, quite hard

This is a more submission for game 309 here: http://forum.enjoysudoku.com/patterns-game-t6290-36525.html#p265448, so goes back quite a few months, SE rates it ED=6.6/1.2/1.2. So I'm thinking that g.r.emlin does not validate more submissions! Found during the spare moments between games! I took all the submissions from games 301 to 320 inclusive to test various rating programs!!

I could track it quickly.

This happened in the game 258 (September 2015) in the following lot of "more"

On the left, we have the posted ratings, on the right an update showing the big bug for the third puzzle, not cleared by gremlin

No idea. Even if I still have the file, I store only one puzzle per rating except the for highest ratings. But in serate's code, a 7.7 diamond seems relatively difficult to find. I tried without success so far to "under optimize" the fresh code in the area {7.6 8.1} to be closer to serate. So, even with the fresh code

most of the ER7.7 of the clone are rated 7.8 by serate
the best chance to get a 7.7 diamond seems to rate a 7.6 diamond of the clone.

PS and the clone should be ready for preliminary tests up to ~9.0 (multi chains) for the next game
