Players forum Future Proofing!

The latest (although short) forum non-availability must have made some of us a bit twitchy.

I'm still so grateful for the work Jason, Glenn and others that has resulted in the players forum mostly intact successfully being hosted here. The exchanges on the programmers forum still exist on this thread from the mirrored forum again hosted by Jason

The forum and the mirrored resources are important for many of us & the need for future proofing is always there. I hope that all moderators can still access the servers' data backup. I will from time to time try and take and a snap shot of the forum which I encourage others to do as well.

At the moment: The sudokusolver forum hosted by Richard & the dailysudoku forum hosted by Sam appear to be the fire assembly points for us in case of a major catastrophe!

gsf had developed software to crawl the entire forum and save an HTML backup.

but he is apparently no longer active here.
