Udoduk gave in this forum some weaks ago a hint to a nice sudoku variant. Here now is an own example of this nice type.

Fill the grid with the digits 1 to 9. Each row and each column will have exactly one of each digit. Each red region must contain 1 pair of numbers. Each cyan region must contain 2 pairs of numbers. Each yellow region must contain 3 pairs of numbers.

This puzzle variant is originated from Ms Miyuki Misawa, a prolific Japanese puzzle creator...

I only did the translation of the rules in this thread...

Yes, that's a good one -- difficult enough to be a challenge, without really being a "killer".
